Zoe-perry
Perry was born to actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first television performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played the character. Perry was forbidden to start acting with her parents till an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the stress it would cause. Perry confessed that she wasn't confident in her acting during high school. However, she began doing it to connect with new people at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry began her career as an actress in New York after graduation, landing minor roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homesickness led to Perry return to California and find work as a theater actress. Perry was a part of Broadway with her mother in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie, along with Kevin McKidd. This was staged at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry was in nine episodes of The Family, an ABC drama The Family in 2016. Her father portrayed her in her role on the ABC show Scandal. That same year she appeared as a younger character based on Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) in which she played her mother in a youthful version. She got the part in an audition that was open despite having a connection to this character.
