Lita Rossana Ford is a British-born American guitarist, vocalist, and writer. In the latter part of the 70s, she played as the guitarist in the hard rocking All-girl group The Runaways. Although the band was not success in The United States, it gained enormous popularity overseas. Ford's solo metal career was successful after the 1979 split of the band. Her debut album as a solo artist was 'Dancin' on the Edge which was followed by her record Out for Blood. Both albums failed to receive much success and Ford was largely absent from the rock world for several years. Her smashing hit, 'Lita was released in 1989. The single "Kiss My Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were huge hits. Sadly, her fame was short-lived and she remained absent from the music industry for several decades. The album's release Black in 1995 was followed by a 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. Her most recent album "Time Capsule" was released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
