Hayley Orrantia, an American performer, actress and music producer. People are most familiar with the character as Erica Goldberg in the comedy TV series 'The Goldbergs'. But, she is to be primarily as a musician. Music, according to her, is the very first thing she is passionate about. She started playing with it when she was nine years old. The first time she began to study professional music when she was 12. In the age of 13, she began writing songs. She recorded her debut album at 14 years old. It has been non-stop since then. Orrantia was raised in the USA, yet has Hispanic origins. She's proud of the fact that she has Hispanic roots, although she was raised using English only, and did not live in Mexico. Her aim is to preserve the culture by writing Spanish songs, and also studying the language. The most famous of these songs is 'Hasta Verte,' which was recorded by her in Spanish. Orrantia was a part of The X Factor season 1's auditions in the summer of 2011. Orrantia got four "yeses" by the judges in the Seattle live auditions after having been selected from her YouTube entry. The first time she auditioned, she was in the show "Hollywood Week" in a one-on-one capacity. Three female singers along with her were brought together for auditions of for the remaining tracks. They were eliminated from the program during the fifth live week.
